A Poetic Moment from a UK Supporter

Mr. Geoff Tims is a UK based author and modern poet.

He has written three books and a book on how to write poetry.

He is currently finishing off a novel and writing education books.

The poem he sent below was written at the start of the gulf war and will be in his new modern poetry book titled Attitude.

The Voter Speaks

George Bush the man at the top,
Peter Pan of politics,
A Man of honour he is not,
He led us to war with the mighty Blair,
Ignoring our Voices, Concerns and our trust.

Young soldiers fighting in a world new to them,
A world that shows no love, remorse or trust,
But a world of hatred, disgust and fear,
Soldiers die, loved one’s weep,
Children wait for their Daddy’s return.

The voter waits for the day to arrive,
A day our country unites as one,
We send a message to the man at the Top,
We Vote, we Scream, we Shout,
George Bush don’t let the door hit your ARSE on the way out.
