Stop Bush Now : From Chapter TenOur Media Media Reform: a 40 year roll back of media consolidations and the enactment of the "Fairness Doctrine" into law with FCC obligations for enforcement. When, and only when, we, as U. S. citizens stand up for our country and constitution, We get to demand our Congress end the Republican Terrorist Corporate control and stranglehold they exercise over our media. We get to demand the roll back of the Media Consolidations that now suppress freedom of speech and are vehicles for the political agenda of the Republican Terrorists and Rupert Murdock and Jack Welsh. We can demand the removal of Michael Powell and his associates on the FCC who lie to Congressional Hearings: More Media consolidation is Not good for America. We get to demand that congress act on Representative Sanders "Congress can no longer ignore the Corporate Control of our Media". We can demand a roll back of media consolidations at least 40 years, demand enactment of the "Fairness Doctrine" into law with FCC obligations of enforcement, and demand specifics as to which regulations need to be directly considered for reversal are specified: which regulations most effect the needs of Americans for accurate and complete reporting. A great deal of influence on our elected officials today, comes from a variety of special interest groups and large corporations who control our media for the self-serving goals of their corp executives. Much of the money from these corporations, public corporations, is Our money: money that belongs to the Employees and stockholders; individuals that often, surprise, surprise, are citizens of this country. How many companies are giving "public" money to encourage employee overtime pay to be cut? How many corporations are using public money to gain political support to have jobs moved overseas? And all this is for the major purpose of further engorging already engorged, greed motivated, and Executive salaries. Americans, many who are both employees
and stockholders, deserve to have the business entities they have spent
many dedicated hours working for, committed to delivering benefits to
them, the employees and stockholders, and the country as a whole. |
